The 2008 Barbados International Game Fishing Tournament (BGFA) featured four days of fun and fishing at the fabulous Port St. Charles in St. Peter.

A fantastic turnout of some 35 boats from islands of the Southern Caribbean and beyond set the stage for some good fishing.

Well done Captain Frank Armstrong and the crew of Challenge II from Barbados, landing a record breaking 507 lb Blue Marlin and winning the tournament.

Congratulations too to the runners up, Ocean Pearl from Barbados, landing a 456 lb Blue Marlin and Happy Hunter with 3 blue marlin releases.

Over 40 releases including Blue and White Marlin, sailfish and spearfish…makes you want to go back again in 2009.
