Somebody say WORLD RECORD! Speyside was where all the action was happening at the 2008 Tobago International Game Fishing Tournament.

The spotlight was on junior Angler Sean Mendonza of Team Indigo from Trinidad who landed the junior angler world record and Southern Caribbean Circuit record 890 lb ‘monster’ Blue Marlin, caught a few miles to the north of Charlotteville.

A lay-day to remember at the beautiful Speyside showcased good entertainment, good food and of course, good drink to lively up what started as a dreary tournament because of bad weather and terrible waters.

But skilled boatmanship saw the tournament pull through without any major hiccups.
